Some commercial sex laborers have been arrested in Ondo State for mocking the government’s lockdown request set up to forestall the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
Doyin Odebowale, Chairman of the Special Task Force on COVID-19 Enforcement and Compliance in the state, who affirmed this to newsmen, said the sex laborers with five of their customers were captured at a house of ill-repute in Shasha, a zone in Akure, the state capital.
Odebowale uncovered that the sex laborers have been isolated and their blood tests gathered for tests so as to decide their wellbeing status.
“They have been together and they are in a high rise situation, so we have to invite our health expert through the state epidemiologist to ascertain their health status.” he said
This was also confirmed by the Ondo State epidemiologist, Dr Steven Fagbemi.
